Hello, my name is Małgorzata Sulewska, and I’m glad you’re on my website.
forMAT K / for MAT KA is a passion born out of love for motherhood. It’s photography inspired by the unique life of women – mothers. In my work, I strive to combine painting with photography.
I have a master’s degree in art and pedagogy. As an experienced photographer, I also design artistic backdrops for studio sessions at Black Drop Factory – you’re warmly invited 😉
I hold the title of an official teacher and juror in several international photography competitions: NPC – Newborn International Community, AAPC – Afns Award Prime Contest, ICP AWARD – Best Newborn Children and Maternity Portraits. Additionally, I am an ambassador for Quadralite, Irix Lens, and Duonet Wydruki Fotograficzne brands.
I have been repeatedly awarded as a photographer in competitions such as 35 Awards, This Magazine, Child Photo Competition, Art of Portrait Photography, and Gallery of Refined Art.
In the year-long international competition 7tH 35 AWARDS I achieved first place in the world as a photographer in the Children’s Photography category of the Year 2021 . The competition involved 124,800 photographers from 174 countries, with 470,500 submitted photos. One of my photos was published in the competition winners’ catalog.
In the year-long MIFA Photography Competition 2022, in the Fine Art category at the advanced level (Professional Fine Art Photographer of the Year), I won gold and several distinctions.
In the year-long 8th FAPA Fine Art Photography Awards (held in London), in the Fine Art category at the advanced level (Professional Fine Art Photographer of the Year), I received a nomination for the main award and a white badge along with a certificate.
In the 6th 35 AWARDS international competition, I achieved third place in the world as a photographer in the Children’s Photography category of the Year 2020. The competition involved 117,514 photographers from 173 countries, with 444,000 submitted photos. One of my photos was published in the competition winners’ catalog.
In the 5th 35 AWARDS competition (2019), based on the ranking for the top 3 photos, I entered the TOP 35 photographers in the world in the „children’s photography” category, TOP 35 photographers in Poland, and also received publications in the catalog. The competition involved a total of 117,541 participants from 173 countries, with a total of 418,000 submitted photos.
In 2019, International Kid Model Magazine published an interview with me and showcased three of my photographs, one of which was featured on the cover.

A FASHION MAGAZINE FOR EVERYBODY
Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to art. While many teenagers wonder which high school to choose, I knew. I always followed what my heart told me. I created like crazy, loved painting clouds, drawing people, and taking photos of nature. I recorded water droplets falling from the gutter and took photos of a plastic bottle illuminated by sunlight. In church, instead of focusing on the Mass, I admired paintings and sculptures, and as my knowledge of art history expanded, my interest grew in windows, vaults, and more. I love reminiscing about the times when I brought my huge (almost 3-meter) still life paintings home and asked my parents what they thought, and they shyly asked, „Why did these painted chairs deserve such a large format?” As life would have it, surprising scenarios unfold. At one point, I was forbidden to paint with colors due to my health, and I struggled to find my way. However, I was captivated by something completely different. The sight of a little girl, her expressions, and kisses… I desperately wanted to capture it somehow. I still couldn’t paint, and I no longer had the conditions for it, so I picked up a camera that has remained in my hands to this day. That little girl, of course, was my daughter. Currently, I have two personal models, and little Jaś has also appeared <3
